The Project

Jilly Wood is the author of The Seeds of Power, the first in a trilogy called The Elan Intrigues. She already had an existing website but was keen on starting fresh with a new website that reflected the epic fantasy genre she is working in.

Together with Jilly, who was an enjoyably hands-on client, we created and color scheme and theme that relayed the atmosphere of her world through above-the-fold visuals and iconography. The home page was built to promote not just Jilly’s books but the author, too. All areas of the home page are fully editable by Jilly, allowing changeover of images and text when her next release hits the shelves.

The site also has custom-built pages dedicated to her books, each with editable ‘buy-the-book’ buttons that can be added and removed depending on which vendors her books are available on. each button is logo-based. The site also features a News page, and pulls the feed from another website for which she blogs, Eight Ladies Writing.
